Cared for by the Cooperative
Wakonda is collectively owned and operated by its shareholders. Monthly maintenance fees help care for the campground and the shared infrastructure that keeps it running.
The cooperative provides:
- Water service to cottages and campsites
- Electrical distribution to campsites, cottages and common buildings
- Cable for your TV
- Weekly trash collection
- Cleaning of the bathhouses
- Road and grounds maintenance
- Maintenance of beaches, recreational areas and playgrounds
- Maintenance and repair of common buildings
